Guide is the company name of an old headlight company they were absorbed by GM many years ago but also made lights for HD...don't know if they are still around

Keeping with your cheap build, why not just use the lid off a pot to cover your AC..

I'm thinking it might actually be an old HD light, because I went on eBay in search of Sportster headlights, and kept seeing dual trim rings for some for sale. This light has 2 trim rings.

And, use a pot lid for my air cleaner.. are you nuts? Hmmm, actually, I'd never thought of that. I'm going to take a look... let's hope my wife never misses her Rachel Ray sauce pan lid...

I've got a cool stick-on, but I'm not sure it'll totally cover the upside down K&N logo.

Where did you find round mirrors? I have been looking for over a year now.

Darn... now that I have them... and eliminated all emails relating to them... I don't KNOW!

However, they had 8 mm threaded stems, and ours are 10 mm, with the right one being reversed, so it wasn't much help.

I, then, having learned that lesson, acquired oblong mirrors having 10mm threaded stems, and have installed them... with a reverse-threaded adapter for the right side.

Because it raises that right mirror some, and alters the appearance of the bike a bit... I'm thinking of eliminating the right side mirror altogether, and just going with a left mirror.

Bike builds can be fraught with minor problems... Now, I'd like to buy 8mm to 10mm adaptors, and just go with the round mirrors!

Latest footboard mod was to use a saws-all and bench grinder to take away as much material as possible, and leave it looking like a boot sole only... as I did here: First the right...

Then, the left...

It's getting there!

Today, I mounted my headlight with my modified stock headlight bucket mount.

Whatayathink? Still operating on a no-budget, all-expense spared basis and have more in my PayPal account than when I started. Probably need to sell some more chrome plated stuff.

Quest,

Looks pretty darn good. Could you take a pic of the whole front of the bike ? I'd like to see how that size light works with the whole look of the bike. Nice job !!

Yea, I'll get a full frontal pic in a bit. I'm thinking the light might appear a bit too small. But, it's growing on me!

All of the wiring is being folded back onto itself, and is going to be connected and stay under the tank. I haven't tried connecting and fitting it all yet, but that's the plan anyway.

I've got some old stainless steel sheathed hoses laying around, and intend to run all left and right control wiring through it after I cut the hose ends off, and remove that sheathing. It's going to take some hours, and smart planning, to take it apart, and reroute all the wiring in such a way that it doesn't get stretched, or bind, or flex so much that wires break, but done right, it will look real cool!

Roadierob, some head-on pics for you. First, with stock turn signals...

Then, without...

Yes, I know the bar is turned slightly to the left, but it's because it's so heavy on the right, having only 1 rotor and an R1 caliper there.
