Sorry to take so long to give you news.

I am grateful for the blessings of your prayers and well wishes, I did and do feel the love and it does help.

I typed original post on my phone with no glasses to see with, and while waiting to go into surgery #3
I am on my laptop now which is a little easier, tho still a challenge with broken right wrist and thumb, and broken left ring finger.

So far the injury list seems to be all but 2 ribs on left side shattered. they plated everything back together, thank God. I don't think I would be making progress I am at this rate if I had to try to deal with the pain and clicking and clunking everytime I moved.

Left ring finger splinted to the longer finger next it. right wrist was completely shattered. fingers work now after 3 surgeries on that. so I have this huge splint keeping my wrist and thumb immobilized, but I can use a finger or two for little things.

left kidney suffered a 'high deceleration' injury and no longer functions.

hips, legs, spine and right side, good and strong. no road rash to speak of. arms (aside from wrist) both strong.
head strong *chuckle*

I am out of the icu now, sitting up in a chair as I slowly type this. almost checked out 2 times while waiting to be flown to Santa Rosa Memorial Trauma unit.
they almost killed me again stuffing me into this twin prop plane.
made a lot of sounds I never knew you could make.
Once here they put in an epidural for the pain. life felt possible again
they had a rough time getting me sorted out but I am here 9 days later and glad to see the sun this morning

Thanks for the update Loren. We are all thinking of you and wish you a speedy recovery. Will the rib plates eventually be removed? Have you determined what caused your crash? You and I are very lucky to be here. Tell Toby we all appreciate his care for you also.

Very glad to hear it sound like things are on the right path to getting back to normal again. Hopefully everything continues to go well.
I hope you have many more sun rises yet to see.
