Front Brake Lever 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Had my 2006 Roadie parked on the street and someone backed into it, knocked it over on the right side, drove off without any information. Fender is dented, front brake lever bent, plus various scratches. So, any suggestions on the brake lever replacement? A stock lever is over $300 (I have checked 3 dealers on that) and 2 dealers have been unable to find an aftermarket lever. No luck yet tracking down a used one from a wrecker either. I was helping an old friend living on his own with some prescription eye drops when I came out to find my bike on its side. Goes to show you that no good deed goes unpunished in this life.

Plenty of levers on ebay. Sorry about your bike though. I have a clutch lever but not a brake lever.

thanks. I had a look too and didn't find a match. I am also limited as some won't ship to Canada. At least I can still use the bike - lever is bent up, but I can use it. Will just keep watching. thanks again. woody w.

Hey Woody,

If an 02 brake lever will fit 06, which I'm pretty sure it does, I think I might have one. I'll be gone most of the day tomorrow, but I'll check when I get home.

Yes, I believe the Yamaha part number is different for 06. Maybe they are wider or something. I know I'll find one sooner or later. Thanks so much for your help.
