I like this traditional one because there is less ambiguity. Of course you would still need to know that Star Motorcycles are a Yamaha brand.

Wouldn't you need some kind of permission for not only the RSC logo but the tribal tuning fork style or even the Star motorcycle logo?

Pardon my ignorance, but what is it supposed to be?

I saw that logo - yes it's a stylized Yamaha tuning fork logo - a while back and immediately saved it. If you ride a Harley you have a gazillion t-shirts to buy. Not much for us though.

I'm just wondering what the interest would be if I, or someone else, were to have a batch of these made up. Maybe even with a nod to the clinic (with permission of course).

Only if you use the trademark 3 tuning forks or that star logo. Giving it the tribal flair shouldn't infringe on Yamaha's trademark rights.

The tribal flair on back and a small RSC logo on the front would look cool.

I couldn't agree more. Crude examples:
It would be great if we could link to them from RSC and maybe throw a few bucks their way from each sale to help support this great site.
