WOW. Thank you everyone that has contributed to this cause. In just over 1 day we are more than halfway there! barmandr's efforts selling the RSC Patches added $255 (13 spots) of the 100 donations needed. That's HUGE.

Every spot will have a place of honor on the bike when built, I assure you. You all are part of this project and will have that recognition on the marketing efforts. I was hoping to get the funds raised within a month... I'm confident we can beat that timeframe.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

Thank You all for your efforts in helping to get this project started. That is a good amount of $$ to be raised in 1 day, keep it coming. With the combined efforts of this membership of great people we will accomplish this goal in no time and build a bike to be proud of.

Re:Eagle Riders' Bike Build 2 Years, 8 Months ago
Guess i'm a little late getting up to speed on this one (miss a day, miss a lot) I just had to read the whole thread.
What a great idea, glad to see such a generous and helping spirit come from the clinic.

Who is building the bike? (Warden, Smokes?)
I'm sure a lot of thought has already went into this before it was even posted, so, any hints or are you going to make us wait until the bike is found and the build thread starts???

I am assuming that the winner of the RSC bike gets an instant membership on the forum as well. Would hate to see them riding the bike with our name plastered on it and not be a member)

once the bike is found and you know what there is to work with, a separate thread for parts needed is a great idea. Could probably get most of the needed parts from members and keep the project costs low.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help (i'm fairly close to the Eagles)

Hey Jim, Didn't you buy that last bike for like $100? (just kidding)Sure would be nice if we could find a bike like that one to start with. HINT HINT

Here is one in Indy, I talked (texted)to the guy, he said that he is going to sell the frame and parts for scrap metal, and hopes to get $700 for the motor.
He said I didn't want it. so I backed off as it is a couple hour drive away from me.

For someone that knows what they are doing this might a good start. (or to big of a project)($800 for a frame, motor, title, and some parts to start with)
Says it has a fat rear tire.
missing front wheel
only one floorboard in pic.
Drag bars, with cool risers and braided cables
Looks like a dent in the tank
Custom made exhaust. Looks like shit, but painted and wrapped could be cool.
has a title.
pro one style front turn signals.
Air ride, but is not working. (smokes may know how to fix that?)

I placed a craigslist ad local to me asking for a Roadstar project bike. Might help encourage someone. So far I've been offered a restored 650 Maxim for $1200 and a Vulcan 1500 project bike for "Way less than $2000". Lol. Maybe something will turn up.
