The nature of work has always undergone profound changes, driven by technological progress, demographic shifts, labour market regulations, and macroeconomic fluctuations. But the Fourth Industrial revolution has drastically accelerated the pace of change, transforming what people do for a living; how they do it; what skills they need; where they perform their work; how work relations are structured; and how work is organised, distributed and rewarded.

This paper zooms into some of the biggest challenges and opportunities facing Europe as it transitions into a new world of work.
