The Maritime Forum aims to improve communication amongst EU maritime policy stakeholders. It allows parties interested in the EU maritime policy to communicate on a common platform. They can publish events, documents and follow developments in their areas of interest. Information can be shared amongst a closed community or published openly. Anybody can register to the forum and comment on its content.

The Irish Ocean Literacy Network was delighted to host its first online members meeting of 2020 on the 15.7.20 through ZOOM. With over 40 members in attendance, participants heard from a range of key note speakers, plus flash presentations from a number of members. A selection of the talks and presentations can be seen on www.irishoceanliteracy.ie. The secretariat and steering community would like to thank all the members for sharing their stories, expertise, knowledge and passion for Our Ocean. #WeAreIslanders

Virtual focus group meetings with Ocean Education Stakeholders

From May to June 2020, a total of 76 European teachers, education and ocean literacy professionals and marine scientists were mobilised in a series of 8 virtual focus group meetings to discuss the feasibility, the difficulties and the benefits of creating a Network of European Blue Schools.
