Main programme

The EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) took place 22-26 June 2020 under the theme: ‘Beyond the crisis: clean energy for green recovery and growth’.

This year, EUSEW went completely digital! Highlights included: a 3-day digital policy conference, the EUSEW Awards, the first European Youth Energy Day as well as 1:1 video meetings, virtual stands and other networking activities. Throughout June, participants also had access to online side events and Energy Days, digital events taking place all over Europe.

EUSEW Awards

On 23 June, winners of 3 categories – Innovation, Youth, and Engagement, as well as winners of the Women in Energy Award, the Eastern Partnership Award and the Citizens’ Award were announced during a live, online EUSEW Awards Ceremony.

Make sure to check out this year's outstanding projects and individuals contributing to the energy transition!

European youth energy day

During EUSEW 2020, young EU citizens took centre stage at the first ever European Youth Energy Day. Young people aged 18-30 shared their vision on Europe’s energy future, presenting their ideas to help make the European Green Deal a reality!

Extended programme

Complementing the main event programme, EUSEW 2020 featured an extended programme of individual webinars hosted by partnering organisations.

These events took part throughout May and June, including a few in July.

Energy Days

Looking to spark a discussion on sustainable energy? Many of our partners organised their own digital event on sustainable energy.

Energy Days took place throughout May and June 2020. Organised throughout Europe by public and private organisations, these digital events were the perfect opportunity to engage with their local communities and other green changemakers throughout Europe.

We look forward to featuring new events during the EUSEW 2021 campaign!
