  1. Given Turkey’s more constructive attitude recently, we are ready to engage in areas of joint interest such as migration & customs. But if Turkey returns to unilateral actions or provocations, in particular in the Eastern Mediterranean, we will suspend our cooperation.

  2. Europe will always be a fervent support of global cooperation. We invite others to match our openness. Meanwhile, we work hard to roll-out vaccination at home. And we are on track to reach our 70% goal by end of the summer.

  3. The EU has exported 77 million doses of vaccines to 33 countries since 1 December 2020. In addition, as a lead donor to COVAX, it has contributed to exports to low & middle income countries. While remaining open, the EU needs to ensure Europeans get a fair share of vaccines.

  18. We are introducing a measure to speed up authorisation of adapted COVID-19 vaccines. This will enable the faster approval of vaccines adapted to variants with a smaller set of additional data submitted to but without compromising on safety and efficacy.
