As of 1 April 2021, EASME ceased its operations and a new agency, the European Innovation Council and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Executive Agency (EISMEA), was established. EIC Planet.tech interview with Advisory Board Member Jim Hagemann SnabeLast week, 3 and 4 June, saw the kick-off of yet another new EIC-initiative, Planet.tech, an event focused on EU Green Deal-challenges. It brought together 28 EIC-backed start-ups/scale-ups with four large corporates, namely AB InBEV, Deme, Nestle and P&G, with the objective to develop a number of Proof of Concepts (PoC) and enhance the cooperation between all parties.
EIC Innovation Training Workshop: Connecting research to the real worldOn 13 and 14 May the European Innovation Council hosted an Innovation Training Workshop for projects from the EIC Pathfinder programme, previously known as Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) programme. During these two days, 13 participants had the opportunity to help shape their research ideas and bring it into a concrete business concept. This was also the first Business Acceleration Services event dedicated to Pathfinder researchers.
