Description / Explanation

The aim of the Superfast Internet Programme project is to implement the network infrastructure required for minimum 30 Mbps broadband speed in less developed regions. The project is to supply the so far uncovered areas in the less developed regions with next generation broadband NGA networks. This ensures the suitability of the domestic next generation networks and their capacities to meet the increasing utilisation and broadband demands which facilitates the dissemination of digital services among the individuals and companies. The scheme also aims to connect any settlement still without an optical backhaul network despite the developments of recent years to the high-speed network infrastructure.
