European Innovation Scoreboard: Innovation performance keeps improving in EU Member States and regions

The Commission has released the European Innovation Scoreboard 2021, which shows that Europe's innovation performance continues to improve across the EU. On average, innovation performance has increased by 12.5% since 2014. There is continued convergence within the EU, with lower performing countries growing faster than higher performing ones, therefore closing the innovation gap among them.

Call for tenders open: pre-commercial procurement for Spanish railways

The Spanish national railway infrastructure operator ADIF invites interested bidders to submit offers to develop and test innovative technological solutions that are capable of detecting structural damage to bridges, viaducts and railways turnout/switching devices at an early stage, and tools to enable predictive maintenance. The contracting is carried out by the CDTI in collaboration with ADIF who will test the developed solutions in its pre-operational environment.

Open market consultation: integrated care solutions for chronic heart failure

The INCAREHEART buyers group from 5 different countries around Europe (SE, IT, EL, PT, TK) invites potentially interested bidders to participate in the open market consultation meetings starting 10 June 2021 in preparation of their upcoming pre-commercial procurement. The aim is to develop innovative ICT-enabled integrated care solutions to advance multidisciplinary health and care for patients with chronic heart failure, in particular regarding early diagnosis and anticipatory care, care and follow-up, living with heart failure.

Apply for the 2021 Procura+ Innovation procurement of the year award

Apply for the award by 30 April 2021. There is also a specific award category for outstanding innovation procurement in ICT. The award is part of the activities of the EU-funded Horizon 2020 project Procure2Innovate that is setting up a European network of national competence centres around Europe.
