Evaluation study of the Regulation no.910/2014 (eIDAS Regulation)

Article 49 of the eIDAS Regulation requires the Commission to review the application of the Regulation and report to the European Parliament and to the Council no later than 1 July 2020. This study supports the report to the European Parliament and Council. It assesses effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, consistency and EU added-value of the eIDAS Regulation through an assessment of results and impacts of its implementation.

eIDAS Open Public Consultation

The aim of this public consultation is to collect feedback on drivers and barriers to the development and uptake of eID and trust services in Europe and on the impacts of the options for delivering an EU digital identity. It targets broad public (e.g. citizens and end-users, including older persons and persons with disabilities) as well as companies directly impacted by the eIDAS Regulation (e.g. trust service providers, identity providers), competent authorities in the Member States, international organisations and concerned stakeholders on the eIDAS framework.

Deadline for submissions to current CEF grant funding call extended to 25 June 2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the deadline to apply for grant funding from the 2020-1 CEF Telecom call for eDelivery (€0.9 million), eID &amp; eSignature (€3 million), eTranslation (€4 million) and the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (€3 million) has been extended to 25 June 2020 to give more time for applicants to prepare their proposals.

eIDAS compliant eID Solutions - a report by ENISA

An increasing number of countries have started an eID scheme notification process.
The objective of this report conducted by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) is to overview the state of play of current technologies providing eID solutions, outline the key trends that will guide its evolution, elaborate on security considerations and recommendations on these technologies and provide a first insight into the envisioned role of ENISA in this area.

CEF Telecom call on electronic Identification and Signature

The CEF Telecom eIdentification &amp; eSignature call is now open, offering €3 million to address the cross-border authentication of eIDs and the uptake and use of electronic signatures. Interested applicants from all EU Member States, as well as from Iceland and Norway, may submit their proposals until 20 May 2020.
