New European Partnerships launched to deliver on the EU's ambitions for the Digital Decade

To boost research and innovation investments in digital, the Commission has launched new European Partnerships together with industry and academia, under the Horizon Europe programme.
The Partnerships will pursue innovative solutions on a large scale, pooling in efforts, resources and investments which will generate long-term positive impact, boost European competitiveness and technological sovereignty, as well as create jobs and growth.

B2G data sharing in energy – 3rd B2G Data Sharing Workshop

Smart energy management in cities is a key to achieving the green and digital transition. This was the focus of the third in a series of five workshops on business to government (B2G) data sharing in cities. Helsinki, Rennes Metropole and Milan shared their experiences, followed by an engaging discussion with around 30 European cities.

Commission seeks views on data sharing

The European Commission has launched an open public consultation on the announced Data Act aiming to create a fair data economy by ensuring access to and use of data. The consultation seeks to gather views from citizens, businesses, online platforms, academics, civil society, administrations and all interested parties. It is open until 3 September.

Increasing the use of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) in oncology requires further cost and technology acceleration. 8 health procurers from 5 countries (BE, FR, DE, ES, IT) invite potentially interested bidders to participate in the online open market consultation meetings on 11-12 May 2021 in preparation of their upcoming oncNGS pre-commercial procurement. Aim of the procurement is to develop an affordable NGS tumor-marker analysis kit applicable to all tumor types that enables predictive, prognostic and diagnostic analysis in liquid biopsies.

Digitranscope project key findings

The final report of the Digitranscope project examines the role of governments and the EU in distributing the value generated from data more equitably in society.
