ADOPT A DOG

In order to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers, and the public, we are conducting dog adoptions outside and by appointment only. Please fill out an application if you are interested.

Abita

I’m Abita! I’m a special girl who is ready for a forever home where I get to be the only princess! I’m an 8-year-old sweetie pie who would do best in a calmer environment with kids over age 16 and an adopter who will spend time doing training with me — I’m one smart cookie! The volunteers here love me so much, but it’s time I find my forever family. Is that you?

Size: 55 lb.
Energy level: Medium
Kids: Ages 16+

Penelope

Hi there, my name is Penelope (otherwise known as Penny, Pen Pen, chunk, or sweet mama), and I am ready for my forever home! I’d like to spend my days sleeping in all my favorite spots or looking out of windows to see what’s going on in the world, with a couple of breaks in between to play with my rope toy (or whatever it is I’m doing here). I love to be close with my humans and just hang out with them. I also love going on walks, meeting new people, and of course treats! I am sure to win you over with my puppy eyes, precious smile, and bread-shaped body!

Size: 60 lb.
Energy level: I enjoy walks but enjoy the couch more
Kids: Ages 13+
Dogs: Not for me!
Cats: Not yet tested

Island

Hiya!! My first name is Island. My middle name is fun! Some say I look like a Disney character as my tongue is always sticking out, my ears go in two different directions, and I’m always doing something cute. My goofy antics will keep you laughing! I’m a 1.5-year-old gal with a ton of pep in my step. I am also a quick learner and very smart. I can be a little unsure of new people but warm up if you go slow meeting me and have snacks to share!

Size: 45 lb.
Energy level: High
Kids: Ages 16+
Dogs: Selective – I prefer male dogs
Cats: I’ve lived with a cat

Bee

My name is Bee and while I don’t like to brag, I do think you should know that everywhere I go people say I’m the sweetest dog ever! Girls like me are often passed over in shelters because my short cropped ears make some people think I might have a terrible past, but you can’t judge a book by its cover. If you give me a chance to get past the stereotypes, I’ll prove to you what a lovebug I am!

Size: 60 lb.
Energy level: Medium
Kids: Yes
Dogs: Friendly with most
Cats: Not yet tested

Jaicie

I’m Jaicie and I’m definitely a diamond in the rough. I’m cute, spunky and smart and am just waiting for the right family to appreciate the joys of living with a young husky. I have energy to spare and will walk as far as you want to go and still be ready for the next adventure. I’m also super smart and would prefer to use my brain to please you, but sometimes I get bored and use my intelligence to get myself into trouble! I’m told huskies are notorious for this. Wouldn’t you love to embrace life with a dog like me by your side?

Size: 50 lb. but growing
Energy level: High and ready to learn!
Kids: Older
Dogs: Friendly with most
Cats: Not for me

Tony

Hi! I’m Tony and I am ready to be your personal fitness trainer. Let me be the reason you get up off the couch and go back out into the world. Whether you want to do long walks on the beach, hikes in the woods, or train for a marathon, I am ready to go! And once we’re done with that, we can head back to that couch to hang out and binge watch your favorite shows. Let’s do this!

Size: 50 lb.
Energy level: High
Kids: Ages 12+
Dogs: With the right fit
Cats: No thanks

Farah

in foster

Hi, my name is Farah and I am the sweetest gal who loves her humans. Snuggling is one of my favorite things and I adore attention. I am always up for a walk (or run) and have great leash manners. I love to play tug and have amazing zoomy skills. I am house-trained and a fast learner — especially when snacks are involved! I can be a little unsure of men at first but come around with just a little patience and treats. I would do best in a home that’s ready to continue working with me on being comfortable being left solo and building my confidence!

Size: 40-50 lb.
Energy level: High
Kids: Ages 12+ (not yet tested with younger)
Dogs: Nope, I’m not a fan!
Cats: Not yet tested
