The Crowsnest Pass welcomes you to its forth annual Doors Open and Heritage Festival over the Heritage Day Weekend from July 31 to August 3.

Experience some of Alberta's finest mountain culture and heritage by attending and participating in this exciting trip through history in the Crowsnest Pass.

Frank Slide Interpretive Centre Grand Reopening - August 29, 2008
Explore four levels of new interactive exhibits, interpretive led programs and children's activity areas. Two award-winning high-definition presentations play daily in the theatre. Walking trails around the Centre and through the slide provide spectacular mountain views. Enhanced information services will be available to assist travellers. The gift shop features souvenirs, books, clothing and other items. Throughout the Doors Open and Heritage Festival weekend visitors are welcome to use the 1.5 km hiking path from the parking Frank Slide Interpretive Centre lot through the rubble of the 1903 Frank Slide. The path offers spectacular views of Turtle Mountain, the Frank Slide and the surrounding Rocky Mountains. - View the Historic Moment
