The Heritage Community
Foundation acknowledges funding support from the Imperial Oil
Charitable Foundation to undertake a demonstration project to create
opportunities for children and youth to research the heritage of
science and technology in Alberta.
In partnership with the
Canadian Petroleum Interpretive Centre at Devon, the Heritage
Community Foundation has created the Alberta Petroleum Heritage
Online Edukit, which is a part of Alberta's Natural Resources. The
edukit supports teachers and students in studying the
petroleum heritage of their province and communities. It also fosters an understanding of the science and technology of the industry and
the historical legacy in the Alberta, Canadian and international
context. We are grateful to the Imperial Oil Charitable Foundation for
making this project possible.
Alberta's Natural
Resources is a Canada's Digital Collections, Industry
Canada, project and is available to not only educational users, but
also to the general public through the World Wide Web.
