Laying the Cornerstone, 1909The Opening of the Legislature, the Enfranchisement of women and Natives, the formation of new political parties: all of these are political events in Alberta's history.  Regardless of whether they have positive or negative effects on people and society, they somehow alter the course of life and politics in the place where they occur.
