Keith Hannen
Keith
Hannen joined the Royal Australian Air Force in 1941. He
completed his initial and elementary training in Australia
and was then posted to Service Flying Training School (SFTS)
Claresholm, graduating in December, 1942. He graduated with
the rank of Sergeant Pilot. He attended Flying Instructor
School (FIS) in Vulcan and, after graduating, instructed
at Yorkton and Fort Macleod.
Keith Hannen returned to Australia in 1944. He flew out of Australia
and New Guinea, staying in the air force until 1948, when
he returned to Canada to join his Canadian bride, Betty.
Mr. Hannen was a Flight Lieutenant when he left the force.
Since then, Mr. Hannen has traveled all around the Canadian
prairies working with Imperial Oil. He currently resides
in Edmonton and is a frequent volunteer at the Alberta Aviation
Museum. The Heritage Community Foundation is grateful to

Alberta website.
