Out of Province ... and Out of Country

Today, CKUA relies on programming from several producers as detached from the province of Alberta as might be imagined. Terry David Mulligan provides Mulligan Stew from his basement studio in Vancouver. Loran Fevens broadcasts concert music from before 1800 on Music Box from his hometown of Yarmouth, N.S. And traveling the greatest domestic distance by airwaves from Austin, Tex. is Dianne Donovan with Voices in Jazz.

Of course, nothing beats a trip across the pond, the source of some of CKUA's news coverage in the form of the BBC World News.
