Tanning

The process of converting raw hide to clothing fabric, i.e., leather.

Tlinkit

Spoken in the upper coastal region of British Columbia with one dialect-Tagish.

Tipi (teepee)

A conical tent usually consisting of skins or hides taken from various animals. The tipi was used primarily by Plains Aboriginal groups.

Tsimshian

Spoken along the coast of British Columbia, as well as in the interior in some regions. There are three dialects-Gitksan, Niska and Tsimishian.
