L'Association canadienne-française de l'Alberta
The Association canadienne-française de l'Alberta (ACFA) began in 1925. Projects have included the following.
- Support for Francophone and French immersion programs in schools.
- Support for groups and individuals in keeping French language rights.
- Lead the plan for the French language stations. Radio station CHFA became part of CBC in 1974. CBXFT television began in 1970.
- Support for the book store Carrefour.
- The newspaper La Survivance was renamed le Franco-Albertain in 1967.It was owned by ACFA after 1975.
