Grande Prairie Real Estate History

The city of Grande Prairie is named for the large open prairies lying to the north, east, and west of the settlement. It is one of Canada's fastest growing cities and as of 2007 Grande Prairie had a population in excess of 50,000. It is the largest city between Edmonton, Alberta and Fairbanks, Alaska.

The Grande Prairie Real Estate Board is a not-for-profit member services organization serving a membership of over 250 REALTORS® and related industry members in the region. They have a comprehensive listing of real estate brokerages, associates and properties available in Grande Prairie and the Peace Region. Members of the Grande Prairie Real Estate Board are located from Grovedale to Manning and from Hythe to High Prairie - including Peace River, Fairview, Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, Valleyview, Fahler - and serve all the surrounding regions.
