Beaver Bay

Category : Bay

The name for this bay is likely descriptive of the beavers that may, at one time, have frequented the area. Since there are very few residents in Elk Island National Park, no local usage of the name was found as the result of a field study. The name was required by the Canadian Parks Service for their administration of the Park and since it seemed appropriate it was officially approved 17 October 1991.

Approximately 40 km east of Edmonton, in Elk Island National Park.
