Alberta remains an attractive place to live for its rich natural resources, a quality that sponsored the immigration of many families from all nations into the province, even before it could be called a province. From the very beginning there were entrepreneurs who saw the potential in this land, and many of them were brave, savvy, and hard-working French men and women who formed companies and struck out to build new industries in a new world.
