Chain Lakes Reservoir
Category : Reservoir | |
The name is descriptive in that there were originally four sloughs in a narrow valley joined by marshy ground with only one foot difference in elevation along the four or five miles of length from north to south. The natives called the body of water "Long Lake." After the dams were built at the north and south ends, the "chain of lakes" became one body of water. |
