Forty Mile, County of, No. 8

The first Rural Municipality of Forty Mile was created in 1912 and was named for the nearby Forty Mile Coulee. Over the years, a series of amalgamations of improvement districts and municipal districts resulted in the current rural municipality of County of Forty Mile No. 8. Some of the old jurisdictions include the MDs of Forty Mile, Burlington, Eureka, Bow Island, and Warner.
