Description: Having regard to the foregoing disclosure, the patent of which this specification forms part confers, subject to the conditions prescribed in The Patent Act, 1935, the exclusive right. privilege and liberty of making, constructing, using and vending to others to be used, the invention as defined in claims submitted by the patentee as follows:-

(1) A feed roller consisting of two end plates and one intermediate plate which mayor may not, be midway between; a series of bars connecting the end plates with the middle plate, the bars being set at an angle to the axis of the roller; the V, formed by the bars meeting at the intermediate plate, to be pointing in the direction of rotation of the roller.

(2) A feed roller as described in claim (1) having a smooth sleeve, formed of two semi-cylindrical sections, which may be fitted onto the roller as described in claim (1) and thereby providing a roller with a smooth surface rather than a fluted surface.
