A Responsive Health Care Sysytem

As important as a clean environment in maintaining human health is a responsive health care system. Albertans are strongly committed to the publicly funded health care system and the Government of Alberta shares this commitment. The government's priorities for health care in the next year will focus on access to health services, illness prevention and effective regional governance.

The government will provide Albertans with a stronger voice in health system management. This fall, Albertans will elect two-thirds of the board members of the 17 regional health authorities.
