The Alpine Wildlife

Bighorn SheepMany species range regularly in both the Subalpine and Alpine Subregions, including Columbian Ground Squirrel, Pika, Hoary Marmot, Grizzly Bear, Mountain Goat, and Bighorn Sheep. White-tailed Ptarmigan, Gray-crowned Rosy Finch, Horned Lark and Water Pipit are restricted to the Alpine Subregion during the nesting season.
