Plaque commemorating the Red Coat Trail at Fort Macleod.

Plaque reads:

The RedCoat Trail is an Inter Provincial highway starting at Fort Garry, Manitoba, extending through Saskatchewan and ending at this point. The highway follows the approximate route of the famous North West Mounted Police Trek of 1874 and has been designated to commemorate this great event in Canadian History.
