St. Joachim's Catholic Church is among the most significant historic buildings in Edmonton, playing an important role in the city's history and continuing to this day as a parish church.  The founding of the church goes back to the house-chapel established at Fort Edmonton in 1854 by Father Albert Lacombe, OMI.  Read more about St. Joachim's in the feature article.
