1. A beet lifter as set forth comprising a carriage formed with a frame mounted on wheels, a hitch at the front extremity thereof, a yoke pivotally secured at the rear of the frame, a pair of adjustable discs carried by the yoke, means to raise. and lower said discs and a blade secured on the yoke between and adjacent to said discs.

2. In a device as claimed in Claim 1, said means comprising a bell crank lever pivoted on the frame and a link connecting said yoke to said lever.
