Claim.—The combination with the hood and lock ridge of a motor vehicle, of a bracket mounted on the said lock ridge, a vertical standard having its lower terminal hingedly mounted on the said bracket and the upper terminal threaded for reception of a nut, a bracket having inwardly extending upper and lower lugs engageable with the said standard, the upper terminal of the said bracket extending outwardly forming a handle, a compression spring positioned intermediate the said nut and lower lug of said bracket, an angle bracket mounted on the said hood, the extending arm thereof depressed and recessed for engagement with the said upper lug of the said bracket.
