C L A I M.
Having thus particularly described and ascertained the nature of my invention and in what manner the same is to be performed, I declare that what I claim is:

1. In a pessary, a hollow canula, a base thereon, a series of flexible circumferential ribs having their lower ends secured to the canula, and joined at their upper ends by suitable means, thus forming a pear shaped cage, a coil spring joining the canula and the upper ends of the ribs adapted to hold the ribs in a substantially pear shaped formation, and means for the insertion of the pessary in operative position and for removing it from the passage.
