Claim.—1. The combination with the apron, table and sickle bar, of a binder, of a plurality of runners pivoted to the sickle bar, and extending beneath the table to the rear end thereof, and having inclined dividing arms on their forward ends, and spring means at the rear side of the table for holding the runners upwardly against the underside thereof.

2. The combination with the apron, table, sickle bar and tail board of a binder, of a plurality of runners pivoted to the sickle bar and extending beneath the table, a crossbar connecting the runners and a tension spring connecting the crossbar with the tail board.
