Description: WHAT I CLAIM AS MY INVENTION IS:-

1.- A thawing device having a hollow point containing a suitable solvent, a fusible plug in the said point and means for applying heat to the said device.
2.- The device claimed in claim 1 in which the heat is supplied to an electrical resistance housed in the said device.
3.- A device of the character described comprising a thawing apparatus formed in sections, one section housing an electrical resistance and being provided with a compartment carrying thermit, sulphuric acid or other solvent, a fusible plug in the said compartment, and means for delivering electrical energy to the said resistance.
