Description: CLAIMS:-

1. In a pair of lifting tongs as described comprising a handle and lifting tongs having looped upper ends and connected at the loops to said handle, said lifting tongs bent in opposite disposed relation to each other and provided with inwardly pointing prongs on the lower extremities thereof.
2. In a pair of lifting tongs as claimed in claim 1 wherein one of said tong members is formed integral with said handle.
3. In a pair of lifting tongs as described, comprising a metallic bar having a loop formed centrally therein, a handle formed on one end and a tong member on the other, a corresponding tong member having a looped end by means of which it is loosely secured to the aforementioned loop.
4. In a pair of lifting tongs as described, comprising a metallic bar having a loop formed centrally therein, a handle formed on one end and a tong member on the other, a corresponding tong member having a lopped end by means of which it is loosely secured to the aforementioned loop, and an additional handle having a looped lower end interconnected loosely with the first mentioned loop, substantially as set forth.
