Description: The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property 0.1' privilege is clatmed are defined as fo11ows:

1. A rod weeder comprising in combination a supporting chassis, a set of standards depending from said chassis, shoes secured to the lower end of said standards, a forwardly and a rearwardly disposed elongated and slender undersurface member mounted for rotation within said shoes, and in parallel relationship with one another, said members being close-coupled the superior surface of said last mentioned member lying in a horizontal plane above the superior surface opposite first mentioned member the vertical distance between the axes of said members being greater than the horizontal distance between said axes.
