Alberta Online Encyclopedia

Drawing from his own vivid memories as well as other sources, Grant MacEwan has written a number of inspiring short stories about the accomplishments of horses. Each one is a unique anecdotal tale based on actual horses who inspired the people closest to them. His collection of stories are a celebration of the special friendship that has kept horses and humans interconnected for centuries. The short stories cover all kinds of horses including thoroughbreds, Clydesdales, broncos, reliable farm horses and faithful ponies. Read a selection of Grant MacEwan's stories about our equine friends here.
