Logo of the Italian Women's Society of Santa Maria Goretti. For the past number of years, the Italian Women's Society has endeavored to promote the Italian culture and local talent, both from the Italian community and the community at large.  At its 2001 Gala the Italian Women's Society commemorated the 100th anniversary of the death of Italian operatic composer Giuseppe Verdi.  In recognition and celebration of Verdi's life and contribution to the world of opera and classical music, the Society hosted a musical and operatic tribute of Verdi's works.  At both the Mother's Day and Father's Day events the Society has featured talented musicians, young vocalists, and dancers.

The Society hopes to continue to participate in the activities of the Santa Maria Goretti Parish and to work with and for the community.
