- FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH
The original First Baptist Church was built in 1888, but was subsequently destroyed by fire. It was rebuilt in 1900, but a growing congregation and the crowding of business blocks around the original site led the congregation to decide on relocation and construction of yet another new church. - FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
