Daridon, André (1905-1925)
After his studies in the minor seminary of St-Pol-de-Leon, Andre studied law for one year at the Catholic Institute of Paris before ntering the noviciate in Angers, on October 31, 1899, where he professed his first vows on November 1, 1900. He professed his perpetual vows at the Liege Scholasticate on September 28, 1902, and he was ordained a priest in Cambrai on July 10, 1904.
The following year, he received an obedience for the Canadian West and devoted himself first as a professor, at the minor Holy Family seminary in St. Albert, Alberta (l905-1906). From there, he went to rest in Lac-Ia-Biche (l906-1908), then worked in Saddle Lake, Alberta (l907-1908), in Banff (l908) and founded the Juniorate in Pincher Creek (l908), which was transferred to Edmonton in 1910 and of which he was the director from 1910 to 1910 and from 1927 to 1930.
He spent a sabbatical year in France (l925), then became professor at the Jersey Juniorate (l925-1n7) before returning to Canada. Because of his illness, he returned definitely to France in 1931, where he became a professor (l931-1932, 1935-1943), and then superior at NotreDame-de-Pontmain Juniorate (1932-1935). He was buried in Pontmain.
