Alhambra

Category : Hamlet

The post office, which opened here January 1916, was previously called "Horseguards," and was later named after the ancient fortress of the Moorish Kings in Spain. It is thought that the name was given by John T. Moore, president of the Alberta Central Railway, in a light-hearted attempt to connect his family with the Moors in Spain and their palace.
