Bay Tree

Category : Locality

The Bay Tree school was established in 1920, and the Bay Tree post office was established ten years later. The first postmaster was R. Tremblay. Although the precise origin is not known, it may have been named for the presence of mountain ash trees in the area. The mountain ash is a laurel tree, another type of which is the bay.

Approximately 66 km west of Spirit River.
