Young's Point Provincial Park

The park is named for Frederick Campbell Young, a local farmer. He served overseas in World War I, attaining the rank of lieutenant and was awarded the Military Cross. Before the war he worked in various areas in Alberta in various jobs. He returned to Alberta in 1919 and took out a homestead/soldier grant. In 1968, the land was sold to the Government of Alberta to make it into park on the shore of Sturgeon Lake. Its area is 1,090 hectares.

Approximately 20 km west north-west of Valleyview.
