Alliance

Category : Village

Originally established as a station on the CNoR line in 1916, Alliance was named by Tom Edwards for his hometown in Ohio. Edwards was a local settler who was hired to buy the right-of-way for the railroad. The first post office in the area, established in 1907, was called “Galahad,” but it moved to Alliance in 1916. Alliance was erected as a village in 1918.
