Blumenau
Category : Point | |
The name blumenau means "flowering" in German. The first postmaster, Carl Stettler, came from a German-speaking area of Switzerland and chose this descriptive name to reflect the many crocuses blooming in the area during the early spring. The post office operated from February 1905 through March 1906 when the name was changed to Stettler. (see Stettler) |
