Bissell

The Canadian Northern Railway established a station here circa 1914. It may have been named after judge Herbert Porter Bissell (1856-1919), of Buffalo, New York, who took part in speeches in 1913 leading up to centennial celebrations of peace along the Canadian-U.S. border in commemoration of the ending of the War of 1812 on 28 December 1814.

Within the northwestern city limits of Edmonton.
