Hurdy

Officially adopted in 1973 for a Canadian National Railways spur line point, it was named after Private John Hurdy [Hrudy] of the 1st Battalion of the Canadian Scottish Regiment, killed in action in 1944. He was born in Andrew, Alberta in 1922.

Approximately 32 km north-west of Whitecourt.
